Their mission: to promote a secure and abuse-free environment for women and children.
NSCSS offers more than just their transition house - they also offer a 24 hour women's support line. Calls are confidential an not limited to issues of abuse.
They also offer an adolescent and children's empowerment program, outreach services program, as well as a volunteer program for folks 16 years of age or older (19 years of age or older for SAGE Transition House).
Good Stuff Connection
The Good Stuff Connection Thrift Shop is a non-profit thrift shop which offers clean, good quality, low cost men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, footwear and accessories as well as a wide variety of books, toys, jewelry, and other items for sale to the public. Most importantly, sales revenue from the Thrift Shop portion of the program helps support all of our programs for women and their children who are experiencing abuse.
The Good Stuff Connection gratefully accepts donations and is located at 154 West 3rd Street in North Vancouver, and is open 7 days a week from 11am-5pm.
Events and Support
Whether it's their Summer Camp Series, the Gala of Grace, or sponsorship from several North Shore Shoppers Drug Mart locations through their annual Growing Women's Health fundraising campaign, there are many ways to show your support of NSCSS.
Want to make a donation? No problem - their online donation website is quick and easy to use!
They also wouldn't be able to do the great things they do without their fantastic volunteers, too, so be sure to check out their "Jobs and Volunteer Opportunities" section of their website.
